response to prompt 3 (success)
successful to me means having the ability to have luxuries and privileges, as well as happiness in life. its just not always about money, cars and homes. i think in order to actually be successful u need to be happy with whats going on with ur life, u need to be happy with ur job, happy marriage (or happily single) happy with family, good health and having fun. having no huge problems is the main thing. luzuries and privileges come along with all that. i think that some of my family and friends are more successful than others but in the end i think if ur happy with how ur living then ur successful.
response to prompt 2 (drinking age)
the drinking age should stay at 21, but then again it doesn't even matter anymore. there are millions of underage drinkers drinking and nothing seems to be really changing. i don't think many underage drinkers are capable of being responsible when it comes to alcohol. the more they restrict it the more they want it, so what difference does it make. i think that underage drinkers as well as 21+ drinkers need to realize that drinking and driving isn't a game. many ppl die each day from drivers who are under the influence. that is one huge fact that they need to keep in mind.
response to prompt 1 (sports)
i don't think all sports mimic war. Yes they both have very competitive sides and each side is thriving to win but i don't really see how sports that don't involve physical contact with other people could be harmful. sports like football, wrestling, rugby and even sometimes in soccer do involve a lot of physical contact, but in no way should be considered as violence. sports were made to entertain people and to pass the time and some people just made it into a profession but i don' think they were trying to show people violence. i think sports are positive and something that actually can get your mind off of violence. for example, a lot of teens join sports in school or on outside leagues to get away from gang violence, this helps them focus on better things than gangs. sports can even help u learn leadership, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
